Lie of the day: Money

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 3:10 pm

Money is the root of all evil.
Lie
It’s in the Bible, SEE: 1Ti 6:10 Whatsamattah? you don’t believe what the Bible says?

Ahh, it feels so good to be lying again. Good old-fashioned trickery and deceit does a body good.

Lie of the day: Mary

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 10:24 am

Jesus didn’t honor his mother.

Since He wasn’t really human, she wasn’t really His mother at all. And, she’s long dead, Jesus has subsequently ceased to love and honor her. God is all capable, therefore capable of changing His mind.

Our call to emulate Christ is limited to important things anyway, the everyday consultations of a son with His mother, or the occasional flower have no bearing on Christian life.

In short, Mary doesn’t matter.

This concludes the “Peter, Paul and Mary” series of Lies.

Lie of the day: Paul

Saul was renamed Paul by Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus.

At that moment he became an apostle.

Lie of the day: Peter

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 10:40 pm

Christ founded His Church on the rock of Peter because He knew Peter’s faith was perfect and unshakable. Since the Church would be entirely in human hands after Christ’s death and ressurection, he needed the most perfect person available for the job of CEO of Christianity.

Lie of the day: Dependence

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 10:14 pm

Independence is the highest form of existence achievable by man.

The greatest nation on earth was founded on a Declaration of Independence, which basically says “We don’t need you, so get out.”

“Dependent” describes someone who cannot function without the drug, alcohol or taxpayer upon whom they depend. This dependancy is a demonstration of that persons lesser worth.

A “viable” fetus is one deemed by medical expertise to have the immediate capacity to be independent of its mother. With this independence comes a right to live, at least until the person becomes similarly dependent on something else, like a feeding tube.

If you depend on something that you cannot even touch and smell, you’re not only weak and worthless but you’re also delusional.

Lie of the day: Control

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 10:25 pm

Lie: Its all you, baby.
You are ultimately in control. While things might appear to get away from you now and then, that’s just blowback from the stuff you controlled yesterday and stuff you are in control of fixing today and tomorrow.

Everything, from the kind of day you have to your eternal salvation, is in your own hands.

So, don’t ask for help.

Lie of the day: Apostolic

LIE

The Church’s teaching authority comes from its membership. Since the Catholic church has such a great number of members, some of whom are very powerful people in their own right, the Church has a good deal of authority.

Lie of the day: Catholic

falsehood

“Catholic” is a word that means “buried underground to control stench”. The early church was persecuted and mass had to be celebrated in underground burial catacombs to avoid having everyone fed to lions, thus “Catholic Church”.

“Catholic guilt” is a phrase that long-long ago referred to deeply-repressed, subconcious (buried) guilt. It had nothing to do with the Church or its teaching on sin and forgiveness. It’s a semantic collision with the similarly named church that has come to share the new meaning, “Imposed by the Vatican”.

Lie of the day: Holy

Filed under: The Lies — Captoe @ 12:58 pm

Lite Brite Lies
Church is not Holy.

We may learn about God or have emotions about the eternal in the building called church, but the bureaucracy is man-made. The Church is an earthly corporation created by men for control of money and people. It has no role, power or existence outside the “real” world here in time and space.

The Church, when you take away the stained glass and the eternal subject matter that it sells is no more Holy or Sacred than Amway, Mary Kay or Tupperware.

Lie of the day: One

Shield your eyes
There are thousands of Christian Churches. Sometimes it seems like there’s one on every block. They’re all special, each in their own distinct way.

An obvious benefit of the great number of churches is that should you feel ill-at-ease in your current community, you can always try another house of worship. This can help keep an appropriately entertaining tone in the promises of hellfire and brimstone, for your pastor knows that at any time, you can vote with your feet and take your tithing business elsewhere.

If you shop around your own neighborhood, you’re bound to find one where the teachings fit your moral needs, the music director knows the same hymns you do and the services are short, but not too short.

In the extremely unusual circumstance that your area does not offer worship such as your soul requires to feel fed you can always start one of your very own. The IRS has a form for this. It might catch on! If it does become popular there are profitable options inTelevision and Radio syndication in addition to the publishing business.
